Circlens is a Telegram Mini App for recording or importing short videos with visual effects. This page explains what data is used to make the app work.
Camera and microphone
The app asks your browser or Telegram for camera and microphone access so you can record a video. Live preview effects are applied on your device while you record.
Video processing
After you finish recording or choose an imported file, the video is uploaded to our server to convert it into a Telegram-friendly circular MP4 format. Generated files are temporary and are automatically removed after a short period.
Analytics
We collect limited technical analytics to understand whether videos are rendered successfully and which effects are used. These events can include the selected effect names, render duration, device category, Telegram start parameter, and a hashed Telegram user identifier when Telegram provides verified Mini App data.
We do not store your raw Telegram user ID in analytics. It is converted into a one-way hash on the server.
Telegram data
When you open the Mini App inside Telegram, Telegram may provide signed Mini App data such as your user ID, language code, and start parameter. We validate this data on the server before using it for delivery or analytics.
Sharing
If you choose to send or share a rendered video, Telegram or your browser handles that action according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Donations
If you support the project with Telegram Stars, Telegram processes the payment. We may store technical payment events such as the donation tier, currency, amount, and Telegram payment charge identifier for accounting, support, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Retention
- Rendered videos and uploads are temporary.
- Technical analytics are kept in server logs for product diagnostics and usage reporting.
- We do not sell personal data.
